Triumph Herald Chip Basket<\/p><\/div>\n

Part Number 803659, the basket featured on all model styles (saloon, coup\u00e9 and convertible) and ran throughout the\u00a0production run of the 948cc cars, being deleted as a cost-cutting measure for the new 1200 models.<\/p>\n

The basket was ideal for magazines, maps and all sorts of stuff and was hinged underneath the dash. The basket had\u00a0a single metal\u00a0clip to hold it in place and plastic straps to ensure the released basket didn’t deposit all the contents over your\u00a0passengers lap.<\/p>\n

Sankey Green Wire Weaving Co<\/p><\/div>\n

The basket was produced by the Sankey Green Wire Weaving Co. Ltd, who were based in Warrington. Founded in 1922,\u00a0they\u00a0manufactured woven wire cloth, industrial wirework and welded mesh in panel form. They had around 250\u00a0employees in 1960.\u00a0Originally based in\u00a0Grappenhall, they eventually moved to Thelwall Lane nr, Latchford Locks and the company was eventually taken over by the\u00a0Greening Co Ltd.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
