New Owner Across The Pond

This particular car came to light November of last year and, at first, it looked like an early 1200 as the car didn’t sport the distinctive bonnet handle – a feature that was deleted during 1961, no doubt to cut costs. Happy to report though it’s a genuine factory 948 convertible.

It first appeared on Craigslist here were the details:

“Clean straight body runs and drives. 948cc engine, Independent suspension in the back. Motor was over hauled in 2004. 60,635 miles. Tires are in great shape. All original paint and seats. Been stored in the garage. Back seats are a bit damaged dash has had a little fiber glass work. Don’t have the soft top but the frame is in good working condition. Have clean title. First year they made the convertible. don’t need much tlc and this car would be back on the road.”

The car sold as it looks like the new owner, Paul Donnell from Ben, Oregon, has got the car on the road. Great to see.
